Monica Holmen (b. 1982) currently works as curator and project coordinator at Akershus Art Centre. Holmen is also co-editor in the Norwegian art magazine KUNSTforum, and freelance writer, editor and curator. Additionally, Holmen has contributed texts to magazines such as Norwegian Crafts, Kunsthåndverk, Kunstpluss, Uncertain States of Scandinavia. Independent projects include Siri Hermansen’s latest book The Economy of Survival (editor, 2018); Tegneklubben exhibition, Tegnerforbundet (curator, 2018); Romantic Rocks, Podium (co-curator, 2018). Holmen holds a MA in art history from the University of Oslo with a thesis on Dag Alveng’s New York-photographs (2010).
