Anne-Gro Erikstad is a curator based in Levanger, Norway. She was trained as an artist at ENSBA, Paris, and holds a MA-level degree in curatorial practice from the Bergen Academy of Art and Design.
In 2005 she initiated LevArt, a long-term curatorial and public art project at the municipality of Levanger. LevArt comissions, produces and presents contemporary art projects, mainly in Levanger, and offers artists and curators a space for exploring ideas and conducting artistic and curatorial research. From 2016 LevArt also includes the temporary publishing platform LevArText.
Erikstads main occupation is as a project leader and curator at LevArt, but she also occasionally works as an independent curator, a public art consultant and a writer. She has curated exhibitions and collaborated with institutions such as Trøndelag Center for Contemporary Art, Møre and Romsdal Art Center and the Art Academy in Trondheim. Her writing includes catalogue texts on the work of Norwegian artists Anne Karin Furunes, Sissel M. Bergh, Edith Lundebrekke, Eirik Friis Reitan and others.
She currently works as an advisor for art and public space at Trøndelag Center for Contemporary Art.
