Julie Lillelien Porter

 BIOGRAPHY

Julie Lillelien Porter is a British-Norwegian artist and curator. She holds a BFA from The Glasgow School of Art and a MFA from Bergen National Academy of the Arts, and is since 2017 Artistic Director of Lydgalleriet, Norway’s only specialist sound art gallery. Here she has realised over 40exhibitions and discursive programs with a particular interest in the spatial, corporeal, and ephemeral medium of sound.

Lillelien Porter co-founded the artist group Ytter in 2008, and has since contributed to a number of journals and online platforms such as Billedkunst,

KUNSTforum, kunstkritikk.no and ytter.no, together with various organisational work in the Norwegian professional art field. She also guest lectures for students at KMD- Department of Contemporary Art.
