Membership Application

Send the application to norskkuratorforening@gmail.com. Membership applications will be assessed at each board meeting.

The application should contain the following:

  1. A short summary of your education and relevant work experience in English.
This text will be published on the webpage of The Norwegian Association of Curators.

  2. Documentation of three (3) curatorial projects within the last five (5) years, which you have been curator for. This should include the following:

・A brief description of the curatorial concept for each project.
・Visual documentation of the projects (links to online documentation is accepted).*

Co-curatorial projects are accepted, provided your own role in the development of the curatorial concept is described. Exhibition projects that you have also participated in as an artist will not be accepted.

Applications will be assessed at the next Board meeting. The Board of The Norwegian Association of Curators assesses the applicant’s curatorial practice, and grants membership where it sees fit. Reasons for refusing applications will not be given. The Board reserves the right to request further documentation if the information provided is not sufficient to make an assessment. If successful, the applicant will be asked to pay the annual membership fee of 700 NOK. Upon receipt of payment, a membership card will be posted to the member.

    MEMBERSHIP INVOICE AND PAYMENT INFORMATION
The membership invoice is sent at the beginning of each calendar year via e-mail from the “Tripletex” accounting system on behalf of The Norwegian Association of Curators. The invoice payment is to be done via electronic bank transfer with KID-number. Following the invoice’s payment, members will receive the yearly membership tag via post. Remember to notify e-mail and postal address changes! The Association sends out two payment reminders. If the membership fee is not paid by summer, members will receive a final warning that the membership will be terminated if the invoice is not paid, and on 1 September the membership will be terminated for those who have not paid. If you wish to freeze or terminate your membership, you must notify us.

* Catalogues and other documentation may be requested for the NKF Archives at a later date.
